Workmanship Warranty on Custom Glass Products

At Fountain Glass, we stand behind our products. Our products are of the highest grade. Plus, we set uncompromising standards in hiring and training so only the most skilled craftsmen install your residential glass products. We offer a glass product guarantee against defects for a period of one year from the date of installation. Additionally, we provide a five-year product replacement warranty for our mirrors.

 

Fountain Glass Workmanship Warranty

Fountain Glass prides itself on its quality craftsmanship and superior product. The mirror and glass products we use are of the highest grade, and produced using state-of-the-art equipment. Our products are inspected at our warehouse during fabrication, as well as carefully examined on the job site prior to installation. If a flaw in the product is noticed, our trained installer will not install the defective product.

We guarantee our glass products against defects for a period of one (1) year from the date of installation. During this period, Fountain Glass will cover the cost of replacing our product (including installation). For our mirrors, we provide a five (5) year product replacement warranty. This warranty covers the cost of the product only (not including installation).

Our warranties guarantee against silver spoilage, cloudiness, and other imperfections that may occur. However, our warranties do not cover scratches to the glass surface made after installation. During construction, if you notice a scratch or flaw in our product, please let us know. Fountain Glass will not be responsible for the costs associated with replacing scratched products once a home is occupied.

Our warranties also do not cover damage caused by improper care. For information on the proper care of mirrors, see our instructions below. Please note the bold section regarding black edge. Black edge is considered improper care, and is not covered by our warranties.

Surface Protection Information

Maintenance

The best cleaning method is a quick squeegee after each use. You will find that this routine will keep your shower looking brand new for many years.

The applied surface protection helps repel stains caused by hard water and soap scum, making glass 50%-90% easier to clean. The few deposits that do adhere to the glass need to be removed every 2-4 weeks with a general glass cleaner. We recommend SprayWay Glass Cleaner.

You no longer need to clean your shower glass with harsh and dangerous chemicals.

When cleaning your treated glass, be careful not to use any rough, gritty, highly acidic or abrasive cleaners that may remove the surface of the glass and damage the coating, therefore voiding the warranty.

For areas with hard water, due to a higher concentrate of mineral deposits such as lime and calcium, a build up may occur on the protective coating and not be easily removed with a mild detergent. A solution of white vinegar and water (1 part vinegar to 5 parts water) may need to be used occasionally to dissolve these deposits.

Failure to follow these instructions may void your surface protection warranty.

Warranty Information

Fountain Glass warrants that the Surface Protection will remain water repellent for a period of 10 years (for the 10 year surface protection product) or a period of 2 years (for the 2 year surface protection product) from the date of installation.

NOTE: Visible streaking or swirling patterns may appear on the glass when the glass is steamed up. This is a normal occurrence and does not affect the performance of the surface protection. It is not visible when the shower is dry and not in use.

Conditions

Surface Protection must be maintained as per the provided maintenance instructions to validate and maintain the warranty.

If, within the warranty period, you feel that your glass is no longer easy to clean, please send an email to warranty@fountainglass.com and provide a brief explanation of the problem along with your name, address, telephone number and date of installation.

If it is determined that an area that has been treated has not remained water repellent, Fountain Glass will gladly provide reapply the original surface protection product in an amount determined to be adequate to re-coat the area.

Fountain Glass reserves the right to inspect the glass in order to determine that the product has been maintained in a manner consistent with these maintenance instructions.
